Fish Chach is currently a source of seafood that is consumed in large quantities by the market. However, in order to have good quality commercial fish, there are many factors to pay attention to in the breeding process. The content of today’s article we will share with you Chach farming techniques yield high output. Don’t miss out on this interesting information.
Choosing a pond location
The pond bank is firm, holds water, has water supply and drainage culverts. The bottom of the pond is flat with mud, slightly sloping towards the drain.
Active water source, easy water supply and drainage, not lacking in the dry season and not flooded in the rainy season. Clean water is not polluted by agricultural, industrial and domestic waste.
Preparing the pond
Drain the pond, kill all trash fish, bad fish and clean aquatic plants in and around the pond. Dredging the bottom of the pond, leaving only a thin layer of mud about 10-20 cm.
Reinforcement of water supply and drainage sewers and nets. Repairing the places where the pond banks are eroded, leaking, filling all the holes of crabs, snakes, rats.
Use powdered lime to evenly spread the pond bottom and bank with a dosage of 10-15 kg/100 m2 of pond. Then dry the pond for 3-5 days. Supply water to the pond through the filter screen, the water level is about 50 cm and then proceed to cause water coloration. After 5-7 days, the water in the pond is green and young, then release the fingerlings.
Select and breed
The fingerlings must have uniform size (5 – 6 cm/fish), no loss of viscosity, no scratches, flexible swimming, shiny color, no signs of disease.
Stocking: The stocking density is suitable from 30 to 50 fish/m2. Release fish in the early morning or cool afternoon, when stocking, soak the seed bag in the pond for about 10-15 minutes to balance the temperature. Before stocking, it is necessary to compare environmental factors (pH, temperature, etc.) to adjust and avoid shocking the fish.
Care and management
Food and feeding
Feed fish with industrial feed, protein content from 30-35%. Depending on the size of the fish choose the appropriate size of pellets. Amount of food: 5-8% of body weight/day.
Feed the fish twice a day in the early morning and late afternoon. However, fish have a habit of eating mainly at night, so the amount of food fed in the evening accounts for 70-80% of the daily food intake. Mix more Vitamin C, digestive enzymes into the feed with a dosage of 3 – 5 g/kg of feed. Periodically feed 2 times / month, each feeding continuously from 3 to 5 days.
Observe feed utilization, fish health and weather to adjust feed intake accordingly. Regularly monitor the growth of fish to adjust the amount of food accordingly.
During the rearing process, regularly monitor water color and environmental factors to take timely measures. Feed the fish enough to grow quickly and increase resistance, fish less sick.
Periodically change the water in the pond to avoid contamination. About every 5-7 days, change the water, the amount of water changes from 30-50% of the water in the pond. Depending on the size of the fish, the water change time is shortened. Monthly/monthly check for disease and growth rate of fish.
In the rainy season, lime is done twice a month, in the dry season, once a month to prevent disease for fish (about 2 kg/100 m2). Regularly observe swimming activities and the ability to catch prey to grasp the health of the fish and have a reasonable care regimen. In the pond, water hyacinth should be released to create shelter and avoid heat, avoid cold for fish and make a barrier around the pond to prevent harmful enemies from entering and avoiding losses.
Choose an appropriate farming location, design the right farming technique. The source of water taken into the pond must be clean or treated. Renovate the pond in accordance with the technical process, clean the pond thoroughly after each crop. Choose good fingerlings from reputable and disease-free facilities. Stocked with reasonable density.
Feed the fish just enough, avoiding the situation of excess food polluting the pond environment. Periodically change water to improve pond environmental conditions. Regularly observe ponds, promptly detect abnormal signs to take appropriate measures.
After 5 months of raising fish, reaching the size of 30-40 g/fish, harvesting is carried out. Part of the pond can be collected or all of it can be collected depending on market demand. Collect all the fish in the pond by draining the water.
